Upon arrival at Socotra Airport, the adventure continues as we venture towards the renowned Delisha Beach. This picturesque destination is celebrated for its pristine coastline, breathtaking vistas, and crystalline waters.

At Delisha Beach, immerse yourself in the serene ambiance as you partake in activities such as swimming, sunbathing, and taking a along the shoreline, all while marveling at the captivating sand dunes that grace the landscape.

For an authentic outdoor experience, indulge in camping amidst the natural splendor of Delisha, allowing you to fully embrace the tranquility of this stunning coastal haven.

 

We will venture Momi Plateau to discover the enchanting Kelesehan Canyon, renowned for its unique and stunning landscape. Enjoy a brief trek and a refreshing swim in the canyon pools.

Next, head to the Homhil Terrestrial Protected Area, known for its diverse flora, including Boswellia elongata, socotrana, and nana, species of frankincense trees. Explore the ancient Frankincense Forest and learn about the rich history and cultural significance of frankincense. Purchase locally-made incense and explore handcrafted goods. Conclude the day with camping in Homhil.

After breakfast and a refreshing swim in the infinity natural swimming pool in Homhil, our journey continues with a hike down to the northern coast of Socotra via Wadi Shefa. Subsequently, we will drive to Arher, where we'll arrive in the late afternoon.

During our visit to Arher, we will explore the picturesque Ersel fishing village. To conclude the day's adventures, we will set up camp in Arher, immersing ourselves in the tranquil ambiance of the surroundings.

We'll drive to the foothills of the mountain, where our hike to Carts Cave in Hoq begins. After lunch, we'll head towards the southern coast of Socotra, traversing the Nojed Plain via Wadi Defarhu and crossing the Hayf and Zahek sand dunes. Our day concludes with camping at the Hayf Eco-Campsite.

We'll explore the Degub cave before heading to Omak Sandy Beach for a swim. Afterward, we'll journey to Dixam Plateau and Wadi Dirhur, we will have some time to take a swim.

Later, we'll drive uphill to discover the Dragon Tree Forest in Fermhin. Our day will culminate with a camping experience amidst the captivating surroundings of the Dragon Tree Forest.

The day starts with a scenic drive to the northwest of the island, we pause at Ghubba village to explore the historic salt pans. Continuing our journey, we venture to Qualansiya and Detwah lagoon, immersing ourselves in the natural beauty of the surroundings. As the day wanes, we meet Abdullah, a cave-dwelling local, before settling in for a night of camping at Detwah eco-campsite.

After an early breakfast, we'll embark on a boat ride to Shoub Beach, where we will be have time for swimming and exploring the mangrove areas. Additionally, for those interested in fishing, a fishing trip can be arranged en route to Shoub Beach, with the boatman providing necessary fishing equipment.

In the afternoon, we'll return to Detwah Lagoon for a seafood lunch hosted by a local caveman in a cave overlooking the lagoon. Following lunch, the caveman will lead a guided tour of the lagoon, showcasing its diverse marine life, including octopuses, oysters, crabs, turtles, and pufferfish.

Upon our return to the campsite, the evening will be filled with festivities, including local dancing and songs performed by the Qalansiyah Folklore Troupe, providing a memorable conclusion to our journey.

On the eight, and last, day we'll explore the handcraft and local product shops in Hadiboh city, the capital of Socotra Island. Later, we'll head to the airport for our flight from Socotra to Abu Dhabi.

Next, we'll visit Detwah Lagoon, a marine-protected area known for its breathtaking natural beauty. Designated Yemen's first Ramsar site on August 10, 2007, and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008, Detwah Lagoon offers one of the island's most magnificent views. A pristine white sandy stretch meets the shimmering turquoise waters of the bay, creating a magical landscape. Enjoy the inviting shallows, but be cautious of stingrays in the lagoon. Upon reaching Shu'ab, we'll explore a captivating mangrove area. A sumptuous lunch awaits us on the pristine shores of Shu'ab Beach. The next morning, after breakfast, we'll return to Qalansiya by boat and continue our journey to the Disksam plateau.

The inviting waters of Dihamri Bay beckon, inviting you to plunge in, swim, and discover the underwater marvels through snorkeling. Our adventure begins with a stop at Qaria Lagoon, the largest of its kind on the island. Here, we hope to catch glimpses of elegant flamingos, graceful herons, and delightful greenshanks as they adorn the tranquil waters.

Our trek to Homhil commences at the base of a majestic ravine, at sea level. With a moderate difficulty level, the trek spans no more than 1.5 hours, ensuring ample energy to savor the panoramic sea views as we ascend.

Upon reaching Homhil, a plethora of walking trails awaits our exploration. Prepare to be enchanted by the primordial beauty of the landscape, where magnificent dragon blood trees, Frankincense trees, and unique bottle trees paint a surreal backdrop.

Our adventure begins with a visit to a majestic waterfall, where the crystalline waters cascade into Wadi Daburak below. Our journey culminates with a visit to a vantage point on the Momi plateau, offering sweeping vistas of the sea below. As night falls, we retreat to the comfort of the Tourist Hotel in Hadibo, where we rest and rejuvenate, reminiscing on the day's adventures and eagerly anticipating the discoveries that await us tomorrow.

As we meander through the streets, we peruse various shops, each offering unique treasures and trinkets that serve as mementos of our unforgettable journey.

As our time on this enchanting island draws to a close, we make our way to Socotra airport. Before boarding our flight back home, we seize the opportunity to visit a souvenir shop, where we can find unique mementos and keepsakes to remind us of the remarkable experiences and cherished memories we have created during our time in this extraordinary destination. With hearts full of gratitude and minds enriched by the wonders of Socotra, we bid farewell to this captivating island, carrying with us the essence of its beauty and the warmth of its hospitality.
